Hi Virginia, that’s a pretty neat site, just explored it some. it could be very handy to explore how someone else has done something.
the real reason i’m writing though is that i looked at that red flower (you have on flickr – didn’t want to go through signing up there). made me get out my Peterson’s Flower Guide. 95% sure its a hibiscus, probably a hybrid. maybe it will continue to volunteer for you, it really is pretty and good picture of it.

Thanks for looking up the flower. Hibiscus, huh? I’ve heard of them before but I don’t think I ever saw one and I was just amazed by the size of the bud and then the huge flower really wowed me. I couldn’t believe I was so lucky as to have one in the garden the former owner’s planted at my house.
